Reference R3 Loudspeaker
$39,995.00 pr

R3 is a 3 way, high efficiency system utilising twin 15" paper coned woofers, a 6.5" paper coned midrange, and Aslan Acoustics' AMT air motion transformer tweeter. This group of drivers are fed by a bank of class A/AB solid state amplifiers with 1,000watts rms available. Each driver in the system has a dedicated 250watt amplifier allowing for astonishing spl's well in excess of 110dB with the sort of transient attack and decay normally only found in live concert systems.
The cabinet is a strip laminated ply construction featuring acoustically isolated chambers, and the entire structure is bitumen coated internally before anechoic damping is applied. The internal walls feature asymmetric ribbing to reduce standing waves with the cabinet.
The digital crossover and equalisation circuits feature 24bit, 96KHz Burr Brown DAC's and ADC's, 48 biquads of processing filters, 14 parametric equalisation filters per driver, crossover slopes up to 48db per Octave, and adjustable gain and delay for each driver. Programming is via USB interface to the supplied media server or laptop
The system is installed and programmed 'in room' to adjust for room modes and obtain a flat frequency response.
Specifications - Main system:
Output Power - 4 x 250 watts rms @ 4ohms
Frequency Response - 45Hz to 35KHz +/- 1.5dB
THD - 20Hz - 20KHz @ 8 ohms <0.1%
Slew rate - 40
Signal to Noise ratio <110dB
Power Consumption at rated power output - 2,300 watts
Power Supply Capacitor Storage - 144,000 uF
Automatic Start - 5mV threshold with auto power off after 12.5 minutes
Electronic Crossover:
Burr Brown dual channel AD and DA converters
96KHZ Sampling frequency, 24 bit resolution
76bit processor per channel, 48 biquad processing capability
Crossover slopes adjustable 6,12,18, 24, and 48dB
Adjustable time delay on individual drivers
Adjustable parametric equalisation - 14 filters per driver with variable gain and Q
USB interface for ease of programming.
Windows based operating system for all crossover and equalisation curves.
Reference R1 Loudspeaker
$79,995.00 pr

The Reference R1 system embodies everything we have learned over 30 years of designing and developing loudspeaker systems.
R1 is a 4 way, full frequency range system featuring the latest in both digital and analogue technologies in a system capable of replicating the impact of a full symphony orchestra in all its power and detail. With 3.2 kilowatts rms of on-board amplification, laptop programmable filters and equalisation, this system will astound.
Reference R1 is the benchmark for Australian Audio design. Each cabinet employs a 15" subwoofer in a sealed chamber fed by a 1,000watt rms digital amplifier with parametric equalisation and remote control.
Above this is a 5 driver D'Appolito array featuring twin 10" carbon fibre woofers, twin 6.5" kevlar midranges, and our new AMT Air Motion Transformer. This group of drivers are fed by a bank of class AB solid state amplifiers with 600watts rms available. Each woofer has a dedicated 150watt amplifier, whilst the high efficiency midranges share one and the tweeter has its own unit.
Each cabinet is a three layer construction with the inner chassis encased in a layer of solid hardwood. Every driver has its own dedicated enclosure, and the on-board amplification also resides in separate acoustically isolated and vented chambers. Depending on choice of hardwood finish weight per cabinet is in the region of 275-300 kilograms.
The system is installed and programmed 'in room' to adjust for room modes and obtain a flat frequency response.
Aslan Acoustics recommends that owners have their electrician install a dedicated 10 amp circuit for each speaker.
