The F6 floorstand design utilises twin 6.5" doped paper cone mid/bass units with 30mm voice coils and massive 100mm x 25mm magnet structures. A Kapton voice coil ensure smooth handling of transients with good heat shedding capability. The rubber surround allows for cone excursion of 4mm to deliver exceptional bass in a vented enclosure. Each mid/woofer is fitted with dual 8 ohm voice coils rated at 60 watts rms each is matched to Vifa's famous XT25 dual concentric Ring Radiator for high frequency extension beyond 30KHz.

Crossover components (as in all Aslan designs), incorporate Mundorf capacitors, coils and resistors in the signal path areas of the circuit ensuring precise imaging and soundstage.

The F6 is rated at a staggering 160 watts rms, and is capable of over 100dB spl's with a frequency range from 40Hz to 30KHz and presents a nominal impedance of 8 ohms to the amplifier making it suitable for all types of systems, be it Stereo or Home Theatre use. The speakers measure 900mm (h) x 230mm (w) x 250mm (d) and weigh 20kgs each.

Quite simply, the bass from these speakers defies their physical size.

Scan Speak based three way systems                                                from $5,995

Scan Speak are a Danish Company specialising in ultra high end speaker drivers. They manufacture woofers, midranges and tweeters used in some of the worlds most expensive speaker systems. Normally you would expect to pay a minimum of $10,000 for a small 3 way system using even their standard drivers, Their 'Revelator' series are used in systems costing from $20k to over $100k.

At Aslan Acoustics we can build you a custom three way tower using the 21W855 woofer, 12M4631 midrange and D2905 tweeter for as little as $5,995pr. If you like we can upgrade the tweeter to the world famous R2904 Revelator for $6,595 pr.

Not good enough for you......how about a 3 way 5 driver D'appolito array using the same exceptional drivers in a larger tower, only $9,995 pr.

All of these designs use the famous Mundorf M Caps, coils and resistive components in their crossovers, the same ones used by B&W, Sonus Faber, Audio Physiks and Burmester. Want to go EXTREME...upgrade to the top of the range Silver Oil and Gold Oil capacitors and Silver Foil coils.

Minstral - 3 way plus active subwoofer                                               from $7,995

The second in the ‘signature series’ of products to be released, the award winning "Minstral" follows on from the success of the much lauded “Austral” statement floorstander, and in keeping with its bigger brother’s design philosophy employs dual chambers with active on-board subwoofers matched to a three way vertical array. The new design keeps the family resemblance with a tapered asymmetrical cabinet shape to minimise standing waves within the enclosure.

Utilising the same high quality Visaton ribbon tweeter and dome midrange as Austral, matched to a new 8” woofer and 10” Subwoofer, both made of carbon fibre, ensures that this new design is capable of lightning fast transients, as well as high power handling. Mundorf components (as used by B&W, Sonus Faber, etc) are employed exclusively in the 12dB per octave crossover assembly, which is hard wired to the floor of the upper chamber. The tweeter features an optional variable attenuator to compensate for differing room acoustics.

Both chambers incorporate bass reflex designs with the ports venting to the front of the cabinet to assist with bass reinforcement. A second benefit of this design is that Minstral can be placed closer to the wall of the listening environment than rear ported cabinets. The subwoofer chamber is tuned to 31Hz with an effective in-room bass response down to 26Hz, and the ribbon tweeter ensures high frequency extension out to 30KHz. Both subwoofer drivers are fed by a single plate amplifier offering 240 watts of continuous output power, featuring auto power on, adjustable gain, crossover frequency and phase, with both high and low level inputs and outputs. The upper chamber three-way unit is rated at 120watts continuous at an amplifier friendly 8 ohm load.

Minstral is designed to offer a 2 box solution for both Hi-fi and Home Theatre applications, and its flexibility of connection options ensures it is at home with any AVR, stereo integrated amplifier or pre/power combination. Finishes available include brushed aluminium (shown), and a variety of timber veneers or acrylic lacquer finishes. At cost options available include piano black finish or solid cabinet timbers such as Jarrah or Rosewood. Stereo subwoofers are also available if required.

Each pair of Minstral’s is individually signed and numbered and incorporates matched driver pairs and crossover components to provide a pin point accurate sound stage and are hand assembled to order for our clients. They are only available direct from the manufacturer.

Austral - A true statement visually and audibly                            from $15,995

Announcing Austral MkII

The original Austral became one of Australia’s first true bespoke loudspeaker designs, with our clients taking advantage of the many finish options available. The result was that no two pairs were identical – a point not lost on our valued clients, nor indeed by us. During the course of production, the design evolved to include a second driver compliment variant, utilising the world famous ScanSpeak Revelator series of drivers. This variant was specifically designed to integrate perfectly with DEQX based fully active systems using a variety of amplifiers of the clients choosing.  

With the NEW MkII version we have taken modular Austral concept one step further making the speaker fully customisable. Taking advantage of our CNC technology, the new design follows the ‘house’ look established with the R3. The cabinets are now machined out of 3mm layers of plywood and strip laminated to produce cabinets which are almost half the weight of MDF yet twice as rigid, with thicker sidewalls and integrated bracing. All voids within the cabinet including driver chambers and ports are now an integral part of the overall structure rather than added in during construction.

Not only is Austral MkII stronger and lighter than the original it is now a 2 box stacked design making shipping and installation a much easier for our couriers and clients. The flexibility of our CAD/CAM construction method means that both the original driver compliment as well as the Scan Speak variant can still be offered as the difference is simply an alternative baffle piece and a relocation of the upper chamber rear panel within the structure. The MkII version is shorter than the original at 1400mm bringing the tweeter down to perfect ear height. An additional benefit of the new construction method is that the upper module features a spare chamber behind the driver acoustic chamber which can house either a passive crossover, active amplifier module, or can be left empty if a fully active version with outboard amplifiers is required.
